A Brief History

The Group was initially established in 1987 with the formation of CW Partners LLP (formerly Cookson Walker LLP) and CW Consulting. Colangelo Cookson Walker Inc. was incorporated in 1998 and rebranded as CW Partners Corporate Finance and Valuations Limited (formerly WFT) in 2010.

Our Team

Eric Walker, Partner (416) 313-2980 CPA, CA, MBA, CBV, CF

Eric has an established background in providing consulting and assurance advice to companies in the financial services, manufacturing, and technology-based industries for over 25 years. He is experienced in a broad range of specialty services in management, financial, acquisitions, divestitures and corporate finance, valuations, litigation support, and regulatory matters. Eric has led seminars on various business operational matters and is regularly published in industry magazines. Eric is experienced in a broad range of specialty services in operations management, corporate finance, acquisitions and divestitures, valuations, tax, sales and regulatory matters. As a founding partner of CW Consulting, Eric has been consulting to brokers for over 25 years in nearly every province of Canada. Recognized by the courts as an expert in the valuation of brokerages, Eric is a Chartered Business Valuator. He has developed and led seminars that have been attended by hundreds of brokers on issues ranging from the management of CSRs and producers to enhancing the value of brokerages.

H. Steven Frye, Partner (416) 313-2977 CPA, CA, MBA, CBV, CF

Steven has been assisting a wide variety of companies in the financial services, high technology, communications and manufacturing industries for over 20 years. Steven has developed expertise in the areas of assurance, project financing and financial feasibility reviews, budget, cash flow and bank presentation assistance, accounting and management information systems, succession planning and related tax planning, valuations, litigation support acquisitions and divestitures, operations analysis and organizational reviews. Fluent in both official languages, Steven has 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, supplemented by hands-on experience in other sectors as Chief Financial Officer and as a consultant. He is experienced in a range of specialty services, including strategic business planning and implementation, operations management, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate finance and regulatory matters. Steven is the Chief Agent for Canada of a foreign-based insurer writing specialty commercial lines. With his partners, Steven has developed and led seminars on the various aspects of brokerage management and operations.

Jessica Man, Partner (905) 513-9811 CPA, CA, CBV, CDFA

Jessica is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator with over 10 years of specialized knowledge and experience in business valuations, financial consulting and litigation support. Jessica has provided various litigation-related support services to plaintiff and defense lawyers, including marital and commercial disputes. She is trained in collaborative practice, providing a neutral perspective to separated couples working through their financial separation, including calculating net worth of family properties and income determination for spousal and child support. She has also provided a variety of valuation and due diligence services to a wide range of industries and business types, including financial services companies, managing general agencies, insurance brokers, technology and manufacturing firms. Jessica has conducted seminar presentations and has written valuation related articles for the financial services sector and insurance brokerages. Jessica recently received her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designation. She is also a Level III candidate of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
